The Mercenaries Code
General
- A Mercenary will not violate the rules of Eternal Lands since it reflects badly upon the rest of us and since getting banned from the game makes us weaker.
- A Mercenary will be honest in dealings with others since to do otherwise reflects badly upon the rest of us. Scamming is a no-no.
- A Mercenary will not whine about what happens to himself whether in public, privately, or in guild-only communications. Stuff happens, ok? Whining just brings the rest of us down and we're here to have fun. (Note: This rule is about your character. If bad stuff happens to you in real life whining still won't help but I don't plan to kick you out of the guild if you want to talk about it.)
note: The sections below are in draft status - subject to modification, ratification, and changes
General
- A Mercenary will respond to a call for help from another Mercenary unless it's unreasonable to do so.
- A Mercenary will treat all others with respect (even more than they deserve). It is best to not upset potential future customers.
Treatment of Newbies
- Providing advice and help to new players reflects well upon the guild, gives future potential Mercenaries a positive feel for our guild, and encourages them to continue to play. New players are required to keep the game alive and to replenish the guild as others leave for whatever reason.
In PK Zones
- (how to handle people who are training)
- (who to kill, who not to kill, etc)
In Non-PK Zones
- Safeguarding a death bag for return to it's previous owner reflects well upon the guild so it should be done when possible if the previous owner is known or can easily be identified. Claiming these items reflects poorly on our guild and is a no-no.
